Farewelling the Class of 2020

What an extraordinary year 2020 has been. Every one of us has had to live through lockdown and other challenges. Our Year 12 cohort had to do so while completing one of their toughest academic years. There was so much uncertainty about assessment, on site learning, exams and most importantly - end of year functions! But we got there. Thanks to an easement of restrictions in November and December our Class of 2020 were able to experience formal graduation and a less formal dinner to help celebrate and acknowledge their hard work. Although this year things looked a little different, it did not dampen any of these celebrations.

The formal Graduation Ceremony was held on school grounds on Thursday December 3rd for an intimate gathering of students and staff only. The outdoor ceremony was held in perfect weather and the program acknowledged staff, parents, and most of all the students.

Graduation

Graduation Dinner

The less formal Graduation Dinner was held at Docklands on Tuesday December 8th Staff and students enjoyed a student created program involving novelty awards, a comedic year in review act, and of course, being 2020 - a TikTok compilation by the girls. The two course dinner also involved lots of photo opportunities and some dancing to really celebrate the year that was.

A big congratulations to the Class of 2020 and all who supported them as they completed this chapter of their academic journey. Best of luck in 2021 and beyond.
